A Reminder for Lexi

Hi everyone. I hope you're all keeping yourselves busy crafting. I've been away for a few days so I'm just trying to catch up on your posts.

Sorry if I upset anyone with my post last week but I just needed to share my thoughts with someone. I only really see my hubby and son to chat to so it's great to have my blog friends to talk to as well.

Today's card is the card I made for Lexi's Birthday to remind her off her time in Australia with the fantastic beaches. Another go at a different kind of card for me. Hope you like it.

 The outside.....

The lower layer of grass is a 'belly band' that keeps the card closed. This slides off for opening.




The inside.....

And a close up of the sparkly flip flops...


Card Ingredients.

 Card Blank- 5" x 5" Craft UK Limited.
Stamps- Lawn Fawn 'Life is good', 'Year Six Shellfish'.
Papers- Lawn Fawn 'Watercolour Wishes '.
Freebie paper in magazine for the 'Sea'.
Cardstock- Tattered Lace 'Shades Card'.
Dies- Lawn Fawn 'Life is good', 'Year Six Shellfish', 'Grassy Hillside Borders', 'Stitched Hillside Pop-Ups' & 'Ocean Wave Borders'.
Medium- Copic Marker Pens 'Ciao and Sketch'.
Ink- Memento 'Tuxedo Black'.
Distress Ink 'Mowed Lawn (for grass on front of card).
Other Stuff- Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen in 'Clear'.
Sakura Gelly Roll Pen in 'White'.

 I'm enjoying having a change from making my shabby chic cards but I'll have to get back to them soon as the shop stock is very low and I need more spending money for the next craft show I go too :D!

    SQUEALING WITH DELIGHT!! I just love this wonderful card Debra!! LF is my fave and you've created such a happy scene inside and out with your lovely design here!! (P.S. You may want to enter this in the Lawn Fawnatics challenge as I think there's still time?) I think you've done a great job of capturing a memory for Lexi!! Very lovely card and I'm happy to see it today!! :)

    P.S. I can totally relate to you as I am mostly alone and it's great to visit with others in blogland especially knowing they're even from other countries!! Thanks for always sharing! HUGS

    You can off load on me any time at all, that's the beauty of blog land, always someone to lend an ear and share comforting words. Anyway...this card is BRILLIANT, so perfectly coordinated, the colours are beautiful and I love the sweet sentiment. This is going to bring back some very happy memories for Lexi xx

    This is a so different style from your usual, but such a delight!!! It's a fabulous dimensional card, and surely Lexi has loved it so much!! It's a clean card, but full of wonderful little details!! The grass as belly band is really a brilliant idea, and love the 3D effect of the beach inside! Law Fawn are wonderful stamps, so cute and sweet, and love how you mix them to create your scene with that adorable inked background!! The sparkly flip flops and the details with the white gel pen are just perfect touches!
    Hope to see other cards as this on your blog, you are so talented!

    WOW Debra what a coool cool Pop Up Card . Love the grass on the outside and the gorgeous detailing on the inside. So good to drop by and visit you. I dont have much of a social life too apart from my patients so yes my blogger friends are very dear to me!

    Hi Debra, a stunning card for Lexi, must have missed it before, just catching up with some I've missed over the last few weeks, love love love the inside of the card, the sparkly thongs look great.
