City Streets and Crafting by Designs Challenge

Hi everyone. I hope all of you who were affected by Hurricane Matthew are all okay.

There's a new challenge starting over at Crafting by Designs with a Halloween theme. The prize for this challenge of 3 digi images has been provided by the fantastic sponsor Robin's Fetish. So if you've been in a spooky mood with your crafting why not share it by entering the challenge.

My card today is using stamps and co-ordinating dies called City Streets from Sunny Studio Stamps. I just fell in love with them when I saw them on Pinterest. I contacted Mendi at the company who told me she'd only just got a UK supplier. She really kindly asked them to add these to their next order for me. They really appeal to my inner little girl as they're so small and cute, something I'm not :D! I hope you like my card.

A close up of one of the little shops.....

Don't you think the little dog is cute? The sky looks a bit bluer in real life, the photo has washed the colours out a little. I'm hoping to make another card but a night time version when I get the chance.

Card Ingredients.

6" x 6" Card Blank- Craftwork Cards.
Stamps and Dies- Sunny Studio Stamps.
Sentiment- Inside card City Streets stamps. Woodware 'Happy Birthday JWS03'
Paper- Doodlebug Design 'Kraft in Colour'. (pavement)

They've got a fabulous new release of fun Christmas stamps and dies over at Sunny Studio Stamps so if you love anything cute go and have a look.

Butterfly card

Hi everyone.
I was really pleased to have one of my cards picked top five in a Fussy and Fancy Challenge and invited to be Featured Guest Designer. I was unable to do it at the time but Sheri at the challenge blog very kindly asked me to be it for a later challenge.(It is me they've featured despite getting a new surname :D!) So here's my card for the new Challenge with the theme Bingo Board. It's a bit late but I didn't see the email saying it was going on the blog until late but better late than never :). I hope you like it.

A better shot of the gilding wax on the butterfly....

and the inside....

The sponsor for the challenge is Live and Love Crafts who are so generous to offer a £10 gift voucher to spend in their online store. As the owner Sandra is starting a new life adventure they are sadly closing so there are many bargains to be had from their fabulous selection of goodies.

Card Ingredients.

6" x 6" Shaped Card- Craftwork Cards.
Papers- Anna Marie Designs 'Blissful Pink', 'Blissful Cocoa' and 'Blissful Green' paper pads.
Cardstock- Create and Craft 'White Linen card'.
Dies- Spellbinders 'Les Papillions Two'. Polkadoodles 'Bubblelicious Frames'. Creative Expressions 'Laurel Leaves'.
Lace- Live and Love crafts.
Ribbon- The Hobby House.
Cheesecloth- Anna Marie Designs.
Ink- Distress ink 'Walnut Stain'.

Glitter Stamens- Anna Marie Designs.

Cosmic Shimmer- Gilding Wax 'Pearl Lustre'.

It was great to make a card without a stamped image for a change and a chance to use the new dies from Polkadoodles. I went a bit mad on their site so you'll be seeing a few more of their dies.

I'll be back on Wednesday with the new challenge at Crafting by Designs. See you soon.

Breena and Bear. Anything Goes Challenge at Crafting by Designs

Hi everyone. I hope you're all well and happy.
October seems to have arrived so soon. I always plan to have started my Christmas cards in September but that's not happened of course. Anyway on to today's post which sees the new Anything Goes challenge at Crafting by Designs. There are three sponsors for this challenge but more on that later.

My card today is using Breena and Bear from SheepSki Designs. I've made a Christmas card using this cute image but you could use this at anytime of year.

Close up shot of the image.....

and Wink of Stella on her wings......

I don't think I could have got more glitter on here if I tried :D! Even the Ric Rac ribbon is glittery.

The sponsors for this challenge are......
Prize - Choice of 3 digi images.

Prize - Choice of 3 digi images.

Prize - Choice of 3 digi images.

That's three, yes THREE, prizes to win from our sponsors.

Card Ingredients.

6" x 6" Card Blank- Craftwork Cards.
Stamp- SheepSki Designs 'Breena and Bear' digi stamp.
Sentiment- LOTV 'Happy Circular Sentiments set 8'.
Cardstock- Dovecraft Glitter card 'White' and 'Silver'.
Dies- Joy Crafts 'Christmas Cottage Set' (star). Cottage Cuts 'Birch Trees and Deer'.
Medium- Copic 'Ciao and Sketch' pens.
Embossing Powder- Chloe's Creative Stamps Wow 'Silver Bells'.
Ink- Versamark. Distress Ink 'Stormy Sky'.
Silver Ric Rac- From a craft show.
Wink of Stella in 'Clear'.

I just want to mention a tool I bought that really helped with this card and that is the Fiskars Fingertip Craft Knife. I find it really difficult to use craft knives due to the lack of sensation in my hands but this I found really easy to use especially on Breena's hair. I would highly recommend it to others who struggle with ordinary knives like me. (Wish I was getting paid for this :D)

With three prizes on offer it's a great time to enter the Anything Goes challenge at Crafting by Designs and you can enter three projects too.

Right I'm off to tidy my craft room which looks a herd of wild animals have run through it leaving no space to craft. Note to self:- must not buy any more craft stuff (yeah right :D). See you again next week,
