Design Team Call for Crafting by Designs!

Hi everyone. A quick post to tell you of an exciting chance to join the Design Team at Crafting by Designs. Here's what Doris the Co-founder of the  very popular Challenge blog says...

DESIGN TEAM CALL

Hi everyone, Doris here. Crafting by Designs is looking to add a few creative people to our Design Team. We're looking for people who like to be creative, have fun, and sometimes create outside of their comfort zone - is that you?
We don't have many requirements but as a member of the
Crafting by Designs team you'd be required to:

  • Prepare a project for at least two weekly challenges per month and follow the theme of each, but you can play along with every one if you like
  • Meet our weekly deadlines for posting challenges and comments
  • Use a digital image if supplied by a sponsor, and link back to their store or blog
  • Host at least one challenge, theme of your choice, every 8 to 10 weeks
  • Be willing to jump in when necessary to help out a fellow DT member
  • Comment on assigned number entries every week
  • Have an active blog and be willing to promote Crafting by Designs and our weekly sponsors by displaying a DT badge and links back to CBD and the sponsor
  • We have a DT group on Facebook, so participation is preferred but not required
  • Not be afraid to try something new and outside your comfort zone
  • Love to have fun with a very friendly and talented group for at least a 6 month period
  • International applicants welcomed! We currently have members in the US, Puerto Rico, South Africa, England, and Sweden
If this sounds like fun to you, please drop us an email at craftingbydesigns@gmail.com that includes a little bio about yourself, a link to your blog as well as a link to 3 of your favorite recent projects.  Prior DT experience isn't necessary, we all have to start somewhere :)  The deadline to submit applications is April 15 and those selected will be notified by April 20.  We look forward to hearing from you!!

Come and join Design Team and have a fabulous crafty time with us!!

Easter Calender Fairy

Hi everyone. I hope you're all well and happy.

I'm back today with the start of latest monthly Anything Goes challenge from Crafting by Designs which always proves to be very popular.

Our sponsors for this month are..

Shadow Clocksy Digis

Prize- 3 digis

Melonheadz Illustrations

Prize- 1 bundle (black/white or coloured)

I've got two cards to show you as I'm trying to make two at a time for the shop I supply. I thought it would be easier to paper piece the egg rather than colour it but I didn't think how fiddly it would be to cut round the tiny flowers and the fairy's fingers! I'm not sure which one I prefer. Tell me what you think.

I'm Back!!!

Hi everyone. I hope you're all happy and well.  As you may have noticed I'm back in blog land, Finally! I can't believe how long it's taken to try to fix my tablet  (twice) and then to realise my tablet just wasn't going to work properly again. Then I got a new one but my printer wouldn't 'talk' to it. It's not as if my old tablet and the printer were such good friends.  After a visit from Dave, a new and patient computer guy, my tablet and printer are now friends. Isn't technology great when it works!

Today's card is my version of a Sue Wilson card (finds Sue's card here). Sue's cards are usually quite large and I wanted to make a 6" x 6" card. Can I just say that Sue made this look easy to make but this took ages of die cutting however it was for my Mum-in-law and she always appreciates my cards. I hope you like it.

Excuse the photo as I didn't realise that I'd missed a bit of the card before I sent it.

Card Ingredients (different from Sue's card)

6" x 6" card blank - Craftwork Cards.
Dies- Tattered Lace Pin Dot Squares. Die-namics  Mini Rolled Roses.
Sentiment - Computer generated.
Other Stuff - Pearls from Mei flower. Hat pins from Fairy My World. DecoArt Glamour dust in crystal (of course!)

Well, that's all from me. Having a lazy day to as I'm not feeling at my best today.  Thanks to everyone who left comments checking on me, you're the best!!

Sending you all a big hug,

Debra x
