Hi everyone. I'm just popping by to wish you all a very
Happy Christmas and a Wonderful New Year!!!
I'll just show you the card I made for my in-laws and for Chris and Lexi. If you want details of what I used just say in the comment section and I'll get back to you as I want to keep this post a short one. I hope you like it.
Hi everyone. I hope you're all well and happy today. This is my last card for Crafting by Designs, sob, sob. In case you didn't see my last post I'm sadly stepping down from the design team as I'm really struggling with my health at the moment. Happily Doris, the coordinator of the blog, has left the door open for me to return if my health improves which is so lovely of her.
Right on to the new Get Ready For Christmas challenge at Crafting by Designs. My card uses the wonderful Mr Snowman from the A Day For Daisies store. There are loads of gorgeous stamps and some free ones at the moment there too. Here is my DT card.
A close up of the snowman ....
Gilding wax on the poinsettias .....
And finally all shook up (feel free to start singing here 😊)......
The prize for this week's challenge is...

I want to say a big thank you to everyone who gave me advice on how to make a successful shaker card. After a few mistakes and one near disaster, when I dropped a full pot of the sequin mix on the floor which my fantastic hubby, on his knees with damp kitchen towels, picked up as much as was humanly possible and stopped me from crying, I finished the card and the bits didn't drop out the bottom, Yay!
I'll still be making and posting cards as often as I'm able so don't think I'm going anywhere but I've really appreciated the supportive comments you've left for me.
Just for me to remind you about the challenge and another chance to add more Christmas cards to your pile if you've already been playing along or the chance to start them at Crafting by Designs.
See you all again when I've more cards to share with you.
Hi everyone. It's now confirmed that I AM completely loopy!!! Last week's card was posted a week too early. Today is the new challenge over at Crafting by Designswith the challenge Fall Colors not last week as I said it was :-O. So I'm really sorry about that. Please look back at last week's card to see my DT card for the challenge.
The fabulous sponsor for this challenge is........
Prize - choice of 3 digi stamps.
There are oodles of gorgeous stamps to choose from if you go and look at their store.
I was going to tell you next week but now seems as good a time that I'm sadly stepping down from the team at Crafting by Designs. As you all know I've been really struggling with my MS lately and trying to make cards to a deadline when you're not feeling too good is very difficult so it was time to call it quits and leave the team. I've really enjoyed being part of the group and will miss them so much but Doris, the lovely coordinator of the challenge has left the door open for me to return if my health improves which is so kind. Mind you after the last two posts I don't know if she'd want me back :D!
I've one more DT card to make for the end of November which hopefully will be posted on the right day, lol, but I hope to blog a few cards I've already made between now and then.
Please, please, please go see the challenge at Crafting by Designs and join in just to prove I've not been a complete waste of a DT member :) and I'll be back again soon.
Flowers- Large Rose and Small Cream Rose from stash. Dovecraft 'Curiosity Corner Burgundy Roses'. WOC 'Mixed Vintage Roses' and 'Ivory Tuscany Rose'. Anna Marie Designs 'Pomegranate' and 'Gold Stamens'.
Other Stuff- Live and Love crafts 'White Sisal Fibres', 'Larch Cone' and 'Shabby Bark Heart'. Glossy Accents (on buttons). Wink of Stella in 'Clear' (on dress). Pearls from MeiFlower.
My craft club closed down on Thursday due to dwindling numbers so I joined another on a Monday. Everyone was very welcoming but it's not really a 'craft club' as apart for me and another lady everyone was painting. Oh well at least I've a monopoly if anyone wants to buy my cards, lol!
Oh I nearly forgot to mention that my 'Breena And Bear' card was chosen as Top Three Winner in the SheepSki Designs Facebook challenge, Yay!! I even got a prize of a digi stamp which was a lovely bonus. I have to admit that I do like getting little badges for my blog as I went a very long time until I got my first one :).
Hey ho, that's it from me today apart from to remind you about the challenge at Crafting by Designs after my long post. It's a great prize so definitely worth entering and you might get your card chosen to spotlight, and get a badge too :D!
Have you already got a nice big stash of Christmas cards made or are you like me with about three done :D? Well if you join in with the new Get Ready for Christmas Challenge over at Crafting by Designs you'll have another one to add to the pile however big or small it is and a chance to win a prize too!
With a lovely choice of digi stamps to choose from you'll be spoilt for choice if you win. So get your Christmas embellishments and glitter out and get stuck into making cards for the challenge especially as you can enter three projects!
Hi everyone. I hope you're having a good week so far.
I have an apology to make for last week's post. I said it was a Halloween theme over at Crafting by Designsbut I got totally mixed up because it's this week. This is what happens when you're not feeling very well and post something when up to my eyes in pain killers :D. So if you've got your Halloween cards made you can enter up to three of your creations in the challenge. I'll tell you about the prize a little later.
So this is the card I should have shared with you for the Add a Sentiment challenge last week. It's using a really sweet image from QKR Stampede called Smiling Angel. She can be used for anytime of year but I made her into a Christmas card. I hope you like it.
Hi everyone. I hope all of you who were affected by Hurricane Matthew are all okay.
There's a new challenge starting over at Crafting by Designswith a Halloween theme. The prize for this challenge of 3 digi images has been provided by the fantastic sponsor Robin's Fetish. So if you've been in a spooky mood with your crafting why not share it by entering the challenge.
My card today is using stamps and co-ordinating dies called City Streets from Sunny Studio Stamps. I just fell in love with them when I saw them on Pinterest. I contacted Mendi at the company who told me she'd only just got a UK supplier. She really kindly asked them to add these to their next order for me. They really appeal to my inner little girl as they're so small and cute, something I'm not :D! I hope you like my card.
A close up of one of the little shops.....
Don't you think the little dog is cute? The sky looks a bit bluer in real life, the photo has washed the colours out a little. I'm hoping to make another card but a night time version when I get the chance.
6" x 6" Card Blank- Craftwork Cards.
Stamps and Dies- Sunny Studio Stamps.
Sentiment- Inside card City Streets stamps. Woodware 'Happy Birthday JWS03'
Paper- Doodlebug Design 'Kraft in Colour'. (pavement)
Hi everyone. I was really pleased to have one of my cards picked top five in a Fussy and Fancy Challenge and invited to be Featured Guest Designer. I was unable to do it at the time but Sheri at the challenge blog very kindly asked me to be it for a later challenge.(It is me they've featured despite getting a new surname :D!) So here's my card for the new Challenge with the theme Bingo Board. It's a bit late but I didn't see the email saying it was going on the blog until late but better late than never :). I hope you like it.
A better shot of the gilding wax on the butterfly....
and the inside....
The sponsor for the challenge is Live and Love Craftswho are so generous to offer a £10 gift voucher to spend in their online store. As the owner Sandra is starting a new life adventure they are sadly closing so there are many bargains to be had from their fabulous selection of goodies.
6" x 6" Shaped Card- Craftwork Cards.
Papers- Anna Marie Designs 'Blissful Pink', 'Blissful Cocoa' and 'Blissful Green' paper pads.

Glitter Stamens- Anna Marie Designs.
Cosmic Shimmer- Gilding Wax 'Pearl Lustre'.
It was great to make a card without a stamped image for a change and a chance to use the new dies from Polkadoodles. I went a bit mad on their site so you'll be seeing a few more of their dies.
October seems to have arrived so soon. I always plan to have started my Christmas cards in September but that's not happened of course. Anyway on to today's post which sees the new Anything Goes challenge at Crafting by Designs. There are three sponsors for this challenge but more on that later.
I just want to mention a tool I bought that really helped with this card and that is the Fiskars Fingertip Craft Knife. I find it really difficult to use craft knives due to the lack of sensation in my hands but this I found really easy to use especially on Breena's hair. I would highly recommend it to others who struggle with ordinary knives like me. (Wish I was getting paid for this :D)
With three prizes on offer it's a great time to enter the Anything Goes challenge at Crafting by Designs and you can enter three projects too.
Right I'm off to tidy my craft room which looks a herd of wild animals have run through it leaving no space to craft. Note to self:- must not buy any more craft stuff (yeah right :D). See you again next week,
Hi everyone and a big hello to my new follower Vicki who makes the most wonderful cards, I hope you'll be a regular visitor to my little blog. Here in the UK we know when summer is ending as the programmes on television get much better :D.
The new challenge starting over at Crafting by Designs has the theme of Favourite Season. More about the challenge later on.The card I've made for the challenge is using an image called Aurora 'Summer Breeze'from The East Wind as summer is my favourite Season. Although I don't like heat I do love the long sunny days, blooming flowers and not having to wear jumpers, lol! Here's my card........
A close up shot of the image....
and the Wink of Stella on her dress....
The Sponsor's fabulous prize for this challenge is...
Prize - Choice of 3 single digis.
With the strawberries on the papers, die cut strawberries, little white flowers and her auburn hair and dress billowing in the breeze I hope I've captured a little of the essence of the summer season.
6" x 6" Card Blank- Craftwork Cards.
Stamp- The East Wind ' Aurora Summer Breeze '.
Sentiment- Woodware 'Happy Birthday JWS03'.
Papers- Maja Design 'Summer Time' (postage stamp cut from this too).
Thank you to you all for your get better wishes, you really are the best blog friends ever!! My M.S. seems to have got a little worse which is just something I must just learn to cope with but it's easier with friends like you encouraging me.
So which is your favourite Season? Why not show us by joining in the fun at Crafting by Designs.
Hi everyone. Autumn seems to be arriving here in East Yorkshire. The nights are drawing in and the weather has turned cloudy with drizzle.
I'm here with another quick post to tell you about the new challenge at Crafting by Designs. This week it's Get Ready For Christmas. If you've been joining in with the Christmas challenges you should have a lovely pile of Christmas cards all ready, but if not, why not start making your cards now by joining in with the challenge now.
The wonderfully generous sponsor for this challenge is......
Prize - $15 gift certificate to the Lunagirl store.
They have gorgeous images to print out for your cards so do go and have a look at their fabulous site.
Right, I'm off to the craft room to get a little crafting done. I hope you're all having a great week. See you soon.
Hi everyone. I hope you're all well and happy and enjoying your crafting.
I'm here to tell you about the new challenge over at Crafting by Designs. The theme this week is A Stitch in Time (real or faux stitching). There are two fabulous sponsors for this challenge and they are......
Wow, those prizes are definitely worth winning! So just add a little stitching to your projects and have a go at the challenge. You've got until the 20th September to enter up to 3 creations which would give you 3 chances to win.
Other Stuff- Wink of Stella in 'Clear' and DecoArt Glamour Dust in 'Crystal'.
I'm the queen of not getting rid of things (I got this from my lovely mum) in case I need them which is what happened with the Crystal Beaded Stems I used on the card. I must have had these for at least 15 years!! My hubby sometimes says why not have a clear out but it very rarely happens. I did have one once and then found the same week that I needed something I'd got rid of (I think this must have scarred me for life :D!). So my new craft room is fit to burst already. I really need to make more cards but until my MS settles (fingers crossed that it does) I'm only making the cards I need to for the DT. I hope I'll be able to make more for the shop I supply as they are selling really well especially my more expensive boxed cards, I need the cash for the next craft show I go to :).
Right I'm off to have a rest now. Don't forget to check out the new challenge at Crafting by Designs. You've plenty of time to enter as it runs until 25th September.
