I love your blog, some lovely cards. I want to be a follower, but not join your Google+ Circle. Can you add something to your page to allow friends connect or blog lovin followers? I'm sure you'll get lots more followers that way. Thanks for the cards. Kim.
ReplyDeleteHi KIm, thank you for your really kind comments. I'd love you to follow me so will try to sort it out. I'm not wonderful on the computer as yet and have to rely on my son to help me and leave me copious notes on what to do! He's back at uni but he's promised to help from there. So please keep visiting until I figure out how to do it, any tips would be gratefully received :-) Debra x
DeleteHi Debra.
ReplyDelete1-To get a banner into your side bar.. look at the top of the blog screen and select the "design" button.
2-Then on the next screen select the layout button.
3-On the right hand of the screen is the "add a gadget" button.. select that. A separate box will appear that says" add a gadget" scroll down until you find the box saying "Image".. select that (because you are going to add an image "the banner")
4-Another box will come up that says configure image..
...... Give the banner a title if you want to, that will appear as text above the banner,
........You can add a url link to the website (if you want to).
........You can add a caption (if you want to) this will appear as text below the banner.
........You can then add the banner by selecting choose file and selecting the picture from your computer, when the image appears in the window hit save and it will then appear on the right hand side of the layout screen as a text box with the heading (if you chose one).
5-Then you have to select the save arrangement button and then go view your blog and the picture will be there.
The easiest way to get a banner from a website is to "grab" it with your cursor and drop it onto your desktop then in stage 4 - where it says image, choose file, you opt to select the image from you desktop.
Be brave and have a go, sometimes the only way to learn is to do it.. play around because nothing is altered on your blog until you select the "save arrangement" button... at any time you can select the preview button to see what it will look like before you select "save the arrangement".
I hope that helps..
I've joined your site..
I love the clean lines of your cards.
Nicky
