Tea Party

Hi everyone. Hope you're all okay especially those in Australia who are being affected by cyclone Debbie (not named after me, I promise!) Stuart's has a cousin in MacKay whose area was evacuated. We don't know yet if they opted to evacuate although her property is only one street away from the beach and 8½m waves were expected.

Did everyone who's a mum in the UK have a great Mother's Day? I had my Mother's Day outing on Saturday at a craft fair in Doncaster with spending money from Stuart too. What more could you want :D!?

Right on to today's card which is using a LOTV stamp called Tea Party.

Clean and Simple!

Hi everyone. I hope you're all having a fab crafting time.

Just a reminder about my Candy Giveaway. It's only for my loyal followers who have been commenting on my blog regularly so anybody who doesn't fit this description will not be included in the draw. You will be welcome to participate in further draws if you do become a follower, comment on further posts and join my little band of lovely blog friends :).

I've got a clean and simple card today, yes you heard right :D. I know my cards are usually very girly and covered in glitter but I wanted to make Stuart, my hubby, a Valentines card and I didn't think he would appreciate lots of frills and pearls. I've used a stamp set from Lawn Fawn called 'Love you a Latté '. Stuart walks into town most days and often stops for a coffee at his favourite coffee shop so I thought these would be the ideal stamps for his card. Here it is....

I was a little naughty and snuck some glitter on the coffee cup labels with a Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen :D. There's Glossy Accents on the lids too.

Card Ingredients.

Card Blank- 5" x 5" Craft UK Limited.
Stamps- Lawn Fawn 'Love you a Latté'.
Sentiment- Lawn Fawn 'Love you a Latté ' & 'Milk and Cookies' (at the bottom).
Inks- Memento 'Tuxedo Black' & 'Ladybug'. Delicate 'Silvery Shimmer'.
Medium- Copics 'Ciao and Sketch'.
Dies- Lawn Fawn 'Love you a Latté' & 'Everyday Sentiment Banner'.
Cardstock- Creative Expressions 'Vintage Silver'.
Paper- doodlebug design Inc. 6" x 6" 'Kraft in Color'.
Other Stuff- Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen in 'Crystal Clear'. Glossy Accents.

Elbow in concert were absolutely brilliant!! I had a fantastic time. They sound just as good live as they do on their CDs, even the supporting band, C Duncan, were good. The Spa in my home town, where the gig was, is not the size of place they usually play in it was their kind of a trial run before going on to bigger venues. I was on the balcony in my powerchair and was let in first with other wheelchair users so we, Stuart and my youngest son Kieran, got a really good place to see them from. I would highly recommend seeing them.

I'll finish here now but will be back on Friday with the winner of my Candy Giveaway. See you soon.

Magical Flute

Hi everyone. I hope you're all having a great week so far.

Today's card is using a Lili of the Valley image called Magical Flute. I love these new mice stamps as I have all their old ones showing lots of mice baking and blowing up balloons etc. which are some of my favourite stamps. Here's my card.....

Chris, my son on holiday with his fiancée Lexi, has become a bit of a celebrity in Thailand as you can see....

Random people asked to take photos with him while he and Lexi were walking round different places. This is just a few of them Lexi caught with her camera. In the bottom photo one of the girls asked him for a photo with her then the rest of her group suddenly appeared from nowhere to join in. It's a good job Chris is a friendly laidback guy and just goes with the flow. When he returns home he will start a further 6 years training to be a Psychiatrist which he should be good at with his patience.

Tonight I'm going to see the band Elbow with hubby, Stuart, and my other son, Kieran. This is the first time I've seen a band live so it should be a great experience.

Well that's all for now. I'll be back again this week with the candy giveaway. See you soon.

Hi everyone. I hope you're all keeping well and happy.

Chris and Lexi, son and fiancée, are having an absolutely fabulous time on holiday. They've visited many temples, had boat rides (some pretty hairy) and had a Thai cookery class together. Here's a photo of Chris and chef who Lexi said kept flirting with the 'Big Man'.

He is very tall at 6'9" so looks a giant in Thailand.
Here's a photo of the happy couple.

Anyway on to today's card. I've used the really cute Rosie with Cake from LOTV and lots of glitter card. I was covered in glitter by the time I'd finished making my card. So here it is.......
