Mother's Day card

Hi everyone. It's Wednesday so I'm back with a card. I'm trying to stick to the same day to post to get back in the swing of things again.

I really like the cards that Elly from Elly's Card Corner makes so I decided to CASE a card from her homepage for my mother-in-law's Mother's Day card. I just loved the big flower with the ivy so using different dies I made the same flower focal point but turned mine into an easel card. I hope you like my take on it.

and inside...

Card Ingredients.

Card Blank- made using Go Kreate die.
Dies-
Go Kreate Large Frame 'Frilly #1'.
Creative Expressions 'Delicate Daisies (complete petals)' , 'Trailing Ivy', 'Delicate Fronds' and 'Trellis Edgar'.
Spellbinders ' Triple Floral Frames'.
Tonic 'Oval Layering dies'.
Tattered Lace 'Starlight Square (butterflies)'.
Papers-
Maja Designs 'Enjoying Outdoors (green)' & Summer Time (pink)'.
Inks-
Memento 'Bamboo Leaves'.
Distress Inks 'Victorian Velvet (on flowers)', 'Bundled Sage (on Ivy)' and 'Walnut Stain'.
Pearls- MeiFlower on flowers.
Anita's on butterflies.
Sentiment- Woodware 'Tiny Phrases'.

No glitter in sight on this card :D!

Chris and Lexi have now reached Melbourne, Australia, now where it's much cooler much to Chris' relief. It's a good job really as the hostel they're been staying in has one shower working for 30 men! Luckily they're only there a few days.

As I'm now running out of cards to post I'd better make some more although I've been sorting out my Cross Stitch stuff to sell it as I can't feel the needle to sew anymore :( but it will give me more space to add my extra card making goodies :).

So if anyone does cross stitch give me a shout if you want to know what I'm selling.

Happy Crafting,

Debra x

  1. Beautiful card Debra, love the focal point being the flower. I have not been to the blog in question but will have a look. Our weather has cooled a tad, grandson said it was low temps in Melbourne but we are still in the high 20's here. They will love it though.xx
