Crafting by Designs Get Ready For Christmas Challenge

Hi everyone and a warm welcome to my new follower Megan. I hope you're all having a great week.

There's another challenge at Crafting by Designs and it's a Get Ready For Christmas challenge.

The wonderful sponsor for this challenge is:-

Prize - Choice of 3 single digis

This is my first Christmas card of the year and my first ever shaker card. Here I'm using Carl the Snowman

All shook up.......

Card Ingredients

6" x 6" card blank- Craftwork Cards.
Stamps- Robyn's Fetish Carl the Snowman digi. Card-io Christmas Scenery 3 and Winter Woods.
Sentiment- Clearly Besotted Sweet Little Sentiments.
Die- Tattered Lace Essentials Squares.
Inks- Memento Tuxedo Black. VersaColor Evergreen, Atlantic and Boysenberry.
Pens- Copic Ciao and Sketch.
Acetate- Grafton Crafts.
Other Stuff- Glossy accents ( on snowman's hearts), DecoArt Glamour Dust in crystal, stars from stash, Sakura Gelly Roll pen in white and Stampendous Fun Flock in white ( on the pom, poms at end of snowman's scarf)

The photos don't show my inking of the sky and frame very well but it is there, I promise. My first attempt at making it a shaker card ended up with me covered in glitter as I'd decided to add glitter in with the stars but when I shook it the glitter decided to stick itself, by static I think, to the acetate making the children on the sledge look like they were out in a blizzard! Also there must have been a very small gap in my foam letting the glitter out all over my clothes :D. As I hadn't any more stars I sat for over an hour picking them out of the glitter with a pair of tweezers :(  So this card was attempt number two, not perfect but I'm happy enough with it.

Well that's all from me today. Why not get ahead with your Christmas cards and enter the challenge at Crafting by Designs which runs from today 15th June until 21st June.

Sending you all a big hug,

Debra x

My card today is using an absolutely beautiful image from The East Wind called Aurora Floral Kiss. I must admit I've never coloured an image like this before and I had five attempts colouring it before I felt I'd done it justice. I even had hubby giving me advice on the hair at one point :D.

Elliana Easter Card and Crafting by Designs DT Call

Hi everyone and a warm welcome to my new follower Sarah :)

I'm back with a late Easter card today but also to remind you that there's still chance to join the Design Team at Crafting by Designs. If you'd love to join our wonderful team of crafters just use the link or read my previous post to find out what to do.

I actually made this card before the Exquisite Heart card I posted earlier this month and liked the design. As you can see it only took a few changes and additions to make this into the Exquisite Heart card.

As it was for the shop I supply I'm always conscious of postal charges so wanted this card to fit in an envelope rather than a box. I hope you like it.

Close up of the 'flower'...

and the butterfly. ..

Chocolate had to be mentioned somewhere,  of course!

Card Ingredients ( different from Exquisite Heart card )

Die- Memory box Elliana (egg shape).
Stamp- LOTV chocolate stamp from Grunge elements set 66 and Sentiment from Simply Sophisticated set 26.

I'm writing this whilst my hubby is watching grown men rolling on the floor pretending to be hurt or what he calls football. I might do a bit of reading after I finish this post for tomorrow. One thing MS affects is the memory so I can read a book several times as I forget what happened in it which saves me buying more books. Who says having MS doesn't have a upside, more money for craft stash, Yay!

Have a great day,

Debra x
